I’ve always thought that it was like a fresh croissant: freezing it destroys the texture and flavour of it. He doesn’t need me to record anything. He can say it again anytime he pleases. I will never trade his voice for the recollection of it. I aim to stay tuned, to stay tuned all the time. And I’m left thinking: Give us this hour our daily croissant?

I wish I wasn't so busy with non-pressing stuff.
I hear you. Yours are not going anywhere, although surely that thesis must be getting a bit pressing by now. Can't wait to read it.
Actually I've been thinking about dropping out of school and just publishing my thesis as a book (I've got a guaranteed offer).
Don't drop out, that would be stupid, you're So Dang Close! You and I need to catch up fast, because I've got a little agenda towards people as gifted as you talking about dropping out a few months before finishing. At leat get a freaking extension.
I'll buy a few copies of the book though... and i'm very jealous.
