Return of the Bossy Bitch

We're taking a group of 50 second years to Glasgow on a fieldtrip next week. The fieldtrip leader is making it clear that we'll be co-responsible for running the thing and I need to be able to step in and take charge some of the time. Right now I've got to get all psyched up for it and think up some structure, structure, structure. There better not be any "difficult types" in the student contingent :-)
And the week after that I've got to run the catering for my Church's regional meet up. Morning tea, lunch and afternoon tea for 80 people. Doom. Doom.

2nd yr. of what, BB? How old are these people?

They're 19, just out of their mom and dads and looking to have some fun together on the fieldtrip.

Methinks they'll be drunk every night. Keep the hospital number handy and be prepared to pick them up at the police station. It happens. -Dany

Well, I sure hope there will be more than 2 or 3 of you to keep an eye on 50. My opinion: UR right in your thinking..no way you can CONTROL..best just be prepared to RESPOND. Church function sounds like a walk in the park in comparison.

Our daughter in China would like to look in on your blog...but all blogging activity blocked by govt. Not sure how they do it, technically.. We talk to her on her cell and Skype and email back and forth freely (maybe not so freely..could be they're monitered)
But, it's not important. We have been so blessed as a family for 50 yrs in June. All 3 older kids(in their 40's) happily married with 5 grandkids 14-20 years old. We thought we had beaten the divorce odds (well over 50% here in US) Now all 3 are splitting up their families at exactly same time. 2 are already officially divorced and the 3rd is bending. I desperately want to control this situation. But, of course, that's just nuts...even if they weren't all 1000-2000 miles away. Sometimes I find myself feeling and probably sounding like Major Major. Are you old enough to remember? Sez he, "Oh well, What the Hell."
I'd be worse than worthless with your group in Glasgow...I would try to control the situation. Godammit, I want everybody here to have a good time,,,or else! No booze..no coed hotel rooms, etc, etc...Want me to come along to help? Cya, Stukley

Hey, what happened to your other post and our conversation?

I sort of thought that it was not doing justice to either you or I. I got really hurt, and I think I was hurtful in my reply too, so I took it off as a post that wasn't very constructive after all.

I'm happy to put it back -and curious to hear your next point- after all, I'm the one who's all for agonism.

I wanted to say that I'm sorry I blip. I'm sorry I'm less than inspired. I'm sorry that I dislike people for no reason, and I hope you're in for a bit of agonism too, so let's have some more heated conversation.
