Today's cheesy midi tune (in English)

For those at the back of the class who are still struggling with the Hebrew psalm, here’s a new (and long awaited) cheesy midi tune in plain English. And the best news, dear readers, is that you can even choose your own tune from this list or this one, so have fun with this lefty sort of hymn purloined from the Anglo-catholic socialism website!

O Hope of all the lowly!
To thirsting souls how kind!
What grace to all who seek you!
What bliss to all who find!

My tongue but feebly praises,
Yet praise be my employ;
Love makes me bold to praise you,
For you are all my joy.

Dwell with us, and our darkness
Will flee before your light;
Scatter the world's deep midnight,
And fill it with delight.

Oh humankind, behold him,
And seek his love to learn;
And let your hearts, in seeking,
Be fired with love and burn.

O come, O Sun of Justice!
Eternal judge and kind,
The longing world awaits you:
Arise, arise, and shine.

Hey Stukley, thanks for the encouraging comments and welcome to the blog! Not many people stumble upon it since I don't promote it (although I sometime link when leaving a comment for the first time on someone else's blog, it's only fair to them). Have you got a blog too? I can't see one on your profile. -Dany

No..never blogged before, Dany. I just typed out a long message which, I believe didn't go through, so I will try once more. I think I googled a phrase that put me onto your page. I never reach out but was so inclined as I was moved by much of what you have to say. I emailed my youngest daughter in Kunming, China to take a look. She is Religion Grad from McGill who is on years fellowship before finishing her last semester for Masters in Foreign Relations at Georgetown. She is 27 and happens to be Francophile. Pretty conversational I am told. I believe you are an academic..a literature professor? I told you in the "lost message" that I am the guy in the pub. I may or may not smell bad..but I smell DIFFERENT. And like everyone, I certainly respond to the bit of grace and love I sense in your musings, which remind me so much of those parts of my daughters journal that she has shared with me. I hope to go back and read more..we have some things in common,especially in the area of spiritual searching. Maybe I'm wrong, but I feel that may be the case. I hope we can talk on a regular basis. Thanks for what you share. Now, I will try this again and if it doesn't work...it will be a shame

Hey again, and sorry for not getting back earlier. I was a bit concerned by your saying that you feel like "the guy at the pub", I'm sorry you ever felt like that.

Let me reassure you that it's probably not the case, your comments are considerate and obviously take the feelings of others on board, so I wouldn't worry.

Feel free to engage in the comments if you like. I look forward to further dialogue.
